When planning your short-term stay in Dubai, one of the first things we’ll ask for is passport copies for all guests, including children. While this may seem like a formality, it’s actually a legal requirement mandated by the Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) authority—and an essential step in ensuring a smooth and hassle-free check-in.
A Legal Requirement – Not Just a Formality
Whether you’re staying for a few nights or a few weeks, the DTCM requires all licensed holiday home operators (like us) to register every guest in their official system. This applies to all guests, regardless of age, and is necessary for both the rental agreement and your access to the building.
Building Security Approval Is Mandatory
Beyond the DTCM regulations, building management and security teams also need to approve all guests at least 24 hours before arrival. This means we are required to submit your passport details in advance for approval. Without these documents, access to the property simply cannot be granted—this isn’t just our policy, it’s enforced by the buildings and the Dubai authorities.
It Only Takes 5 Minutes
We’ve made the process as quick and easy as possible. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive access to your Guest Portal, where you can upload the required passport copies. The process takes about 5 minutes and can be completed from your phone or computer.
Time Zones and Office Hours Matter
To help us get everything approved in time for your arrival, we encourage you to submit the documents as early as possible. Keep in mind that our team operates within UAE business hours, so the sooner we receive your documents, the quicker we can process your booking and confirm access with building security.
